Controversy is growing after Tteok-bokki Franchise owner, Kim Sang Hyun criticized President Moon Jae-In calling him a communist.
Founder and CEO of “National Tteok-bokki” Kim Sang-Hyun put hashtags “#Co-link belongs to Cho Kuk”, “#Moon Jae-In is a communist” through his Facebook on 24th.
He also wrote “In essence, socialism and communism mean the same thing. The word communism has a negative connotation, so (they) use a more positively sounding word called ‘socialism’ in stead.
Prior to the controversy, Kim also wrote on 18th that “President Moon tried to discourage Liberty Korea Party’s leader Hwang Gyo-An’s political move to shave his head. At the end of the day, Moon Jae-In is on North Korea’s side.” with a link to an article written about North Korean propaganda media criticizing Hwang Gyo-An’s decision to shave his head.
On 20th, the franchise owner criticized Moon Jae-In revealing that “there are a lot of great entrepreneurs around me, these are the people who should be regarded as heroes, but they are being treated like criminals under Moon Jae-In’s socialist regime.
Meanwhile, various online communities are leaving comments that criticize Franchise owner Kim and encourage people to boycott his restaurants. On the other hand, there are also voices that support the franchise owner.
